Who is uno k?

Alejandro Nieto Jiménez (March Architect), with several years of Product Management experience at MELTIO, a leader in developing state-of-the-art wire-laser metal additive manufacturing solutions, Alejandro has an extensive experience with Automation and Robotics, specifically Additive Manufacturing using metals. He also amassed great experience in 3D printing thermoplastics during his years working at Nagami, a design and production company for optimized large-scale objects through robotic additive manufacturing. Alejandro emphasizes the importance of developing innovation capable of challenging standards and providing new solutions through research and technology.

Over the past 3 years Alejandro has been  strategizing and programming robot configurations to showcase the capabilities of Metal AM for Meltio, including the release of Meltio Space as the best software for additive manufacturing together with Meltio Wire Laser DED technology. Its work in AM includes collaboration with companies like Siemens, Mastercam/camufacturing, Aibuild, Adaxis,  Autodesk, between others for pushing the boundaries of slicing softwares with Meltio Tech. Alejandro also has extensive experience programming robot arms using Grasshopper, a visual programming language and environment that runs within the Rhinoceros 3D computer-aided design application.

With a Master's Degree in Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and a high proficiency in computational design and robotic fabrication, Alejandro has  been a valuable Topology Optimization Software Tutor together with Kostas Grigoriadis for the Architectural Association of London, contributing to groundbreaking research in architectural design developing the necessary tools to allow designs to be manufactured by robotic fabrication.

Participating in a research project like the MMTO project (Multi-material Topology Optimised structural beams) together with the Kostas Grigoriadis (UCL),Michael Herrmann and  Efstathios Damtsas (University of Lubeck) and Marina Konstantatou(Fosters+Partners).
